A story of teamwork and partnerships! Our local Spida USA team (supported by their global Spida family) thoroughly enjoyed their time on site recently at Montgomery Truss and Panel in Pennsylvania.
We met Montgomery Truss and Panel a few years back, and in 2022 we developed a wall frame line for them.
Completing the Frame Line
Our recent installation consisted of a Wall Extruder, Squaring Table and Sheather, coupled with powered Chain Conveyors - which now completes their full wall frame solution.
Installation and Training
Cullen Ellis, our dedicated Product Specialist in USA says of the install:
“The install went very well and the Montgomery team were a pleasure to work with. Our team dealt with some last minute changes to the layout to incorporate some different equipment and adapted nicely. Training their staff was also a very smooth process. The customer already has two of our other pieces of equipment in place with the intuitive Spida software, so they took to the newer pieces of equipment with ease”.
The End Result
By implementing a full wall line, Montgomery Truss and Panel have improved their offer to market – lead times will improve and the whole process from a labor point of view will be helped immensely.
They can achieve more output with fewer workers, meaning they can repurpose current workers who are no longer required on the line, to other parts of the organization. The operators have commented on how fast the new line can produce finished products.
