The Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) is the trusted venue for structural building component manufacturers to learn about the latest trends, cutting-edge technologies and products, and ideas that are transforming the industry.
We’ve exhibited at BCMC for a number of years, and we’re excited to be there again at the upcoming conference from 18 to 22 September 2023.
BCMC Combines with the Framer Summit for 2023!
The BCMC annual trade show includes live machinery demonstrations, educational opportunities and networking events. The Framer Summit, hosted by the National Framers Council (NFC) which has always been held as a separate event, will be combined with BCMC for the first time this year. This means both suppliers to the component manufacturing and framing industry can exhibit on one show floor.
Spida Machinery Exhibit
Our booth at BCMC (booth number 1507) is the same one we had last year, which worked really well. It’s a large 13,000 sq. ft site, allowing us to show a range of ‘working’ high quality precision machines.
We’ll have a range of machinery at BCMC this year including:
- Automated Saws – Automated Apollo, Piecemaker and Sprint M600
- Wall Assembly – Raked Wall Extruder and Stud Extruder
- Roof & Floor Truss Assembly – Finishing Roller, Rolsplicer and a Roller Plant.
We also hold live demonstrations throughout the conference which are popular and which our team enjoy. It’s a great way for us to show how our machinery works, talk through the benefits as well as answering any questions.
Given our capabilities across all areas of the product lifecycle, the Spida Machinery team that attends BCMC includes those from leadership, engineering, service, support and sales.
Talking with Customers
One of the aspects our team most value about attending BCMC is getting to talk with customers. Wendy Boyd, Chief Customer Officer, Spida Machinery Group explains:

2023 BCMC Schedule
There’s a very full schedule for the conference this year, with something for everyone!
With a range of topics being discussed including prefabrication and building automation in the construction sector, reactions to current lumber market, maximizing facility’s equipment uptimes, safety and data, the power of continuous improvement and economic forecasts.
Of course, the annual conference would not be complete without a number of social events! These events add some light-heartedness, sharing of stories and great camaraderie.
